Ok, I admit I am not the biggest fan of tofu (I know, bad vegan; bad, bad vegan!) so this wasn’t one of my original 2013 VegCharlotte Awards categories.

However, a reader requested it so I added it to the survey.  Since this category was added late, there were only a handful of responses and thus, no “winners.”

But here’s what Charlotte, NC vegans and vegetarians said about tofu:

• Apparently, the Vietnamese restaurants do it best.  Multiple votes for Lang Van and Ben Thanh.
• Bean Vegan Cuisine – “you gotta give them props, they do tofu every which way.”
• Nourish (vegan meal delivery service) – “Endlessly creative with the tofu.”
