(2)
April 28, 2017

I’m excited to announce that Charlotte, NC has yet another vegan dining option – Vegganers Luck! Vegganers Luck is a vegan meal delivery and catering service. But as Zariyah says, “Vegganers Luck is more than just a name. We wanted to introduce the veganism lifestyle to people who aren’t just vegans. We cater to those… Read More ›

Restaurant Review: ABC Commissary (Walt Disney World – Hollywood Studios)

On the Saturday of our visit to Walt Disney World, we spent a very enjoyable morning at Hollywood Studios, riding and re-riding The Tower of Terror and the Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster. Eventually, we had to eat lunch. The ABC Commissary¬† was another place we stumbled upon, since we didn’t have reservations and didn’t… Read More ›

Restaurant Review: Nine Dragons (Walt Disney World – Epcot)

Most of our Disney trip, Jules and I were winging it as far as restaurants went. (In other words, we hadn’t made restaurant reservations in advance and alerted the management I was a pain-in-the-*ss vegan who would require a special meal and possibly a visit to my table by the chef.) Anyhoo, we were in… Read More ›

Restaurant Review: Be Our Guest (Walt Disney World)

Disney is a bit overly fond of using the word “magical.” But in the case of Be Our Guest, the word magical truly applies. Be Our Guest is one of Walt Disney World’s most popular restaurants (second only to breakfast at Cinderella’s Castle). The wait list is legendary – you need to book your reservation… Read More ›

Vegan At Walt Disney World

Is Walt Disney World vegan friendly? The answer, as I found out on my recent visit to Walt Disney World – Orlando, FL, is … It’s complicated. There is certainly vegan food to eat, but your choices are limited. However, that’s not as bad as it sounds, because EVERYONE’S choices are somewhat limited. To deal… Read More ›

Conscious Cravings - Austin, TX

Conscious Cravings – Austin, TX

I was excited to try Conscious Cravings in Austin, TX. It’s always fun to try vegan eateries on the road, experience the different concepts and cooking styles, taste the local flavors, find inspiration. Yelp was full of positive, glowing reviews – although admittedly Yelp is notorious for deleting any reviews that are less than positive…. Read More ›

Senor Veggie Beet Burger

Senor Veggie – San Antonio, TX

San Antonio, TX is a city of surprises – from the disappointing (the Alamo is a gigantic souvenir shop!) – to the sublime, such as gorgeous old churches and the lush green beauty of the flowering shrubs, waterfalls, and koi ponds of the Japanese Tea Garden. Senor Veggie, an all-vegan restaurant located at 620 S. Presa Street, definitely falls into the sublime category. It is without a doubt one of the very best veg restaurants I’ve ever been to, and quite possibly has the world’s best veggie burger.

Zoe's Kitchen Vegan Kabobs Vegan Plate

Restaurant Review: Zoe’s Kitchen

Zoe’s Kitchen is another rapidly expanding fast-casual restaurant that takes its vegan customers seriously. Drawing on culinary influences from the 21-country Mediterranean region, Zoe’s offer vegans flavorful new options.

Which Wich To Offer More Vegan Options – Test Market Charlotte, NC!

Which Wich is a rapidly expanding, veg-friendly chain that is adding new vegan items to their menu this fall. Charlotte, NC is one of their four test markets! VegCharlotte has tried and tasted these new items – including a vegan chicken sandwich – and has the inside scoop. Let’s just say, we’ll never eat at Subway again.

Restaurant Review: The Comedy Zone and Texicali (NC Music Factory)

In Charlotte, NC it’s becoming possible to find good vegan food just about anywhere – including hypnotist shows at The Comedy Zone. Here’s what a vegan needs to know.

Restaurant Review: Chuy’s Mexican Food

Chuy’s is a fun, kitschy Tex-Mexican restaurant located on the outskirts of SouthPark Mall (in the space formerly occupied by M5). It’s a restaurant Charlotte vegans should know about. It’s notable for two reasons: Chuy’s is a veg-friendly, moderately-priced restaurant in the notoriously expensive, un-veg-friendly SouthPark neighbhorhood; and Chuy’s is completely transparent. Everything is exactly… Read More ›

Vegan Curry from Thai House

Restaurant Review: Thai House

Charlotte, NC is fortunate enough to have nearly a dozen Thai restaurants – most of which are good, and a few of which are excellent. Thai House, a family run business which has been around more than 20 years, is one of the excellent ones.

Vegan Dining Options in Myrtle Beach, SC

Myrtle Beach, SC can be a bit tricky for a vegan going on vacation. But vegan food can be found! Here is my list of vegan dining options we discovered during our recent trip to Myrtle Beach.

If you are vegan or vegetarian, you can’t say you’ve been to Myrtle Beach until you’ve been to Bay Naturals!

Chicken In Chipotle Sofrita Bowl

Chipotle Chicken Cross Contamination In Vegan Sofritas Bowl

Several weeks ago, my partner and I tried Chipotle’s new vegan tofu offering, Sofritas, for the first time. I have to say, we were impressed. So impressed, in fact, that Sunday night my partner and I decided to have Sofritas again. We invited his vegetarian-all-her-life sister to accompany us. I ordered the same Sofritas bowl… Read More ›
