Vegganers Luck – Vegan Meal Delivery/Catering

*12/31/18 – Zariyah is currently taking a hiatus from her catering service. We hope to see Vegganers Luck again in the future!

I’m excited to announce that Charlotte, NC has yet another vegan dining option – Vegganers Luck!

Vegganers Luck is a vegan meal delivery and catering service. But as Zariyah says, Vegganers Luck is more than just a name. We wanted to introduce the veganism lifestyle to people who aren’t just vegans. We cater to those who are in transition to becoming vegan, already vegan, and those who are just curious. I know people think that vegans are BORING, but that isn’t the case. There are plenty of beginner vegans and we just want to start a new Vegganning with you!”

Zariyah herself is no stranger to the meatless lifestyle. Her father was vegetarian and she herself was vegetarian for many years before becoming vegan. Living in California also gave her exposure to many vegan foods and restaurants. Eventually, she wants to have a vegan food truck.

Some coworkers and I order from Vegganers Luck every Wednesday … we call it “Lucky Wednesdays.” So I’ve had the chance to see and sample different menu items. Not only is the food delicious and high-quality, but the menu is quite creative and diverse! Everything from salad to sandwiches to entrees and pizza. Transitional items that resemble meat and whole food menu items that don’t pretend to meat at all. Comfort food classics like Eggplant Parmigiana and very creative items like Spaghetti Squash Burrito Bowl.

Let’s start with salads. This is the Southwest Cobb Salad – romaine lettuce, corn, black beans, coconut bacon, tomato, onions, avocado, cheddar “cheese”, ranch dressing.Vegganers Luck Southwest Cobb Salad

Power Salad – kale, sweet potatoes, chickpeas, avocado, craisins, almonds, and onions served with lemon tahini dressing.

Fruit Salad – spring mix, strawberries, oranges, apples, craisins, cucumber, tomatoes, walnuts, coconut and blueberry vinaigrette. The blueberry vinaigrette got raves at my office.

There’s also a BBQ Chickpea Salad and a Build Your Own option.

Not interested in a salad? How about a sandwich? The It Must Be Meatball sandwich got great reviews. Or how about a Carolina Cheesesteak, Korean BBQ Jackfruit Sliders, or Crab-less Salad Sandwich? Prefer something that doesn’t resemble meat too closely? Try a Chickpea Caesar  Wrap or a Openfaced Tofu Curry (potatoes, black beans, tofu, carrots, and peppers cooked in a secret curry sauce served over brown rice and quinoa on an open faced hoagie). Or try Le French Dip – made with mushrooms instead of meat and served with vegan au jus. It will perfectly satisfy any umami cravings you might be having.

Entrees range from familiar dishes – Smackin’ Mac N Cheese, Eggplant Parmigiana, and a classic Southwestern Burrito Bowl (cilantro lime rice, black beans, roasted corn, pico de gallo, guac, and sour cream)…

… to the more creative, like the Spaghetti Squash Burrito Bowl – taco seasoned tofu, quinoa, corn, black beans, peppers, hot sauce, jalapeรฑo, lettuce, and sour cream stuffed in spaghetti squash. This one was a HUGE hit in the office!

Or the Mushroom Alfredo – creamy cashew cheese sauce, with mushroom, red pepper, broccoli and chickpeas tossed with spinach linguine.

And there’s more.  Vegganers Luck also offers appetizers, two soups (Pho Real and 17 Bean), pizzas, a few desserts, and daily lemonades and limeades!

Vegganers Luck will be at this year’s Charlotte VegFest Saturday, April 29th. (11:00 AM – 4:00 PM at Freedom Hall at the Park Expo and Conference Center) Zariyah will be selling Chick’N Waffles and Stuffed Korean Jackfruit Peppers. If you can’t make it to VegFest, remember Vegganers Luck delivers – just give Zariyah 12-24 hours notice! The website is www.vegganersluck.com.

  1. Definitely will have to try them out for those weeks when I need this type of service. I rarely ever order from Nourish these days but definitely will like having another option for those weeks when I know life is going to be hectic. Honestly there are only a few things on the Nourish menu that I have to have and they are usually never on the menu when I need them to be. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Hi, Mavis! Hope you are doing well! I know what you mean – I absolutely love Nourish but don’t order often, either, because I love to cook! Sometimes I just have to have one of their lasagnas, though! ๐Ÿ™‚ Zariyah’s great, she will work with you

  2. Lucky you! All of the food looks fantastically delicious too! ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. I am one that has been transitioning from eating meat to a vegetarian. I have a problem with time and knowing of a variety of meals to prepare. Would appreciate some much needed help to stay on a path of healthy eating. Salom

    • Oh, that’s wonderful, Jackie! Do you live in/near Charlotte? Contact Zariyah at Vegganer’s Luck – she used to offer consultations, cooking classes, grocery shopping, help with meal prep, etc. Also check out FB groups like Vegan City Charlotte. I don’t know your cooking skill level, but a few books I recommend to new vegans are Alicia Simpson’s Vegan Comfort Foods (any of her books, really) and the first two Happy Herbivore books – Happy Herbivore and Every Day Happy Herbivore. Those books all have nice, easy basic recipes for everyday American food. And keep reading my blog – I’m going to be shifting the focus slightly to more fast and easy or basic recipes. Again, so happy you are taking this major step! ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. They are popping up everywhere! Change is happening ๐Ÿ™‚
