Valentine’s Day Chocolate Cherry Smoothie

Chocolate and cherries have always been synonymous to Valentine’s Day. This sweet, decadent tasting smoothie lets the flavor of the chocolate and cherries shine!

This delicious chocolate concoction tastes like dessert, but is deceptively healthy. There’s no added sugar or salt, and (of course) zero cholesterol. It packs 31% of your daily fiber needs, as well as being a rich source of Vitamin C (25%),Vitamin D (7%), calcium (26%), iron (16%), and potassium (14%). Plus, many people swear the anti-inflammatory properties of cherries help with different types of arthritis and post-workout pain!

Feel like making this smoothie even healthier? Add a handful of baby spinach – I promise you won’t be able to taste it! Or add half a scoop of protein powder – the chocolate, cherries, and banana will cover up any bitterness nicely.

Chocolate Cherry Smoothie Ingredients

1 Cup Frozen Sweet Red Cherries (make sure there is no added sugar)

1/2 Banana

1 Cup Unsweetened, Original Flavor Almondmilk (I use Almond Breeze)

2 TBL Cocoa Powder

Chocolate Cherry Smoothie Directions

Combine all ingredients into blender and blend.

For the full experience, pour into fun, chilled glasses and sip through a reusable straw.
